One of the most important and memorable parts of our tournament is our Honorary Pitchers. These individuals are breast cancer survivors who start each game by taking the game balls onto the field, reading the messages from the sponsored balls, and throwing those balls into play.
We encourage the teams to line up on their respective base paths to show their support to these special guests and to recognize those individuals whose names appear on the game balls.
We have had survivor pitchers in their 30's and those in their 80's. Some have been survivors of breast cancer for many, many years, while others are still battling and undergoing treatment. No matter what stage they are at in their journey, all are welcome and able to participate.
You will recognize the Honorary Pitchers because they will be the only ones wearing pink tournament logo t-shirts. They are there to participate, to celebrate their survivorship and to remind us all what this event is really about.
If you or someone you know is a breast cancer survivor and would like to get signed up to be an Honorary Pitcher please contact us via email at
